Q: Why get a license?
A: A license allows you to use our MS SQL version of the cart on as many domains as you are licensed for, while a branding license (for both the "free MS Access" and MS SQL versions) allows you to make the necessary changes to the text content in the application templates so that you can brand the cart as your own - you can completely replace our company information and name from the physical pages with your own information.
Q: What types of license do you provide?
A: We provide a user license for the MS SQL version of the cart that starts at one domain license and can increase to a special Unlimited domain license. Our Branding licenses can be purchased for both the "free MS Access" version as well as the MS SQL version of the cart and they too start at a single domain license and can range right up to the Unlimited Domain license.
Q: What is an End-User License Agreement?
A: This is the license agreement that an end-user must agree to during the purchase of any version of the cart. The End-User License Agreement defines the extent of the License and the rights of use, fees and payments, warranty, and limitations of liability between the end-user and OneWorldStorefront.
Q: Can I upgrade my MS Access license to a MS SQL license?
A: Yes, the cost for a single site upgrade from a free version to a single license MS SQL version is currently $71.00
Q: Can I install a second copy of the application on my portable computer?
A: No, the setup procedure and licensing only allows for a single install, to a single domain, on a single IP address. You may make a complete copy of the application for backup purposes and for editing code, but you will have to upload the pages to the main server hosting the registered domain for you to view the results.
Q: I need to work with several separate servers hosting the main application and MS SQL, is the single license OK?
A: Yes, as long as the application is on a single domain, you can run the database across multiple MS SQL servers and the application itself across multiple web servers.
Q: After purchasing your application, am I allowed to distribute my customized software written with your components?
A: Yes, but only on a per license agreement. If you own a single branding license, then you can sell one copy of your customized software using our components - but you also lose that license from the one(s) you have purchased from us. Ultimately, if you are going to sell many copies, it is better to purchase an unlimited usage license from us.
